Located in the charming town of Clio, Michigan, nestled between Flint and Frankenmuth.
Start a cherished holiday tradition that will endure for generations. Delight in the experience of cutting your very own Christmas tree. There’s nothing quite like strolling through rows of vibrant Fraser Fir trees.
Embark on a unique family adventure to discover the perfect tree, requiring teamwork, communication, and focus. Is your family up for the challenge?
Your journey begins with a hayride to your chosen tree field. While our tree varieties may vary from year to year, we make every effort to provide a diverse selection, including Fraser Fir, Concolor Fir, Black Hills Spruce, Colorado Blue Spruce, Norway Spruce, Serbian Spruce, White Spruce, and White Pine.
In addition to our “you cut” fields, we offer an unbeatable variety of pre-cut trees in various shapes, sizes, and types. After selecting and wrapping your tree for the trip home, you can warm up by a cozy campfire, savor hot chocolate or apple cider, and witness your children’s joy as they meet Santa and Mrs. Claus.
With some of the finest Christmas trees available and an unparalleled atmosphere, Runyan’s is the perfect destination to usher in the holiday season and prepare for a memorable Christmas celebration at your home!
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated, returning patrons as well as the new friends we’ve made along the way. It brings us immense joy to connect with each of you, listen to your stories, and help kick off the holiday season, as you celebrate your unique family customs.
Over the years, we’ve cherished the sight of multiple generations coming together in laughter, your adorable dogs decked out in Christmas attire, the warmth of your smiles, and the snapshots of your magnificent trees. Your presence adds to the enchantment and magic of the season at Runyan’s, and for that, we are truly appreciative!
Absolutely! Please bring your four-legged friends along for the adventure! Well-mannered dogs on a leash are always welcome at our farm. Let them join in the holiday fun as you select your perfect tree!
We accept cash, debit, and most major credit cards. Please note that a processing fee of up to 3% will be applied to all debit and credit card transactions.
Our trees are priced at approximately $12 per foot. Prices may vary based on species, and taller trees (10+ feet) tend to be priced higher.
We offer a wide variety of tree species, including:
Spruces: Colorado Blue, Black Hill, White, Serbian, and Norway
Firs: Fraser, Concolor, and Korean
Pines: White Pine
Pre-Cut Trees: Balsam Fir, Grand Fir, Douglas Fir, Snow-Tipped Spruces (Flocked), and Orphan Trees.
We’re thrilled to announce that our painted trees have returned! Available in a variety of colors, these unique trees are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Are you looking for a perfectly pink tree? Let us know – we’ll guide you to it!
The average Christmas tree stands between 7-8 feet, perfect for standard ceilings. When cutting your tree, please remember our 6-foot rule: all field-cut trees must be at least 6 feet tall. If cut shorter, the maximum price for that species will apply. If you’re unsure, don’t hesitate to ask your tractor driver for assistance.
Please note that trees taller than 10 feet are limited in supply due to the 12-15+ years of growth required. If you’re searching for a tall tree, take a stroll through our fields – you might just find your perfect green giant!
If you prefer to bring your own saw, make sure it has a removable blade. Chainsaws are not permitted. Don’t worry, though – we have handsaws available for all our wonderful guests!
Once you’ve chosen your tree, we’ll give it a fresh cut and, if needed, drill it to fit your stand. After trimming, we carefully wrap each tree and provide roping to ensure it travels safely to its new home.
We invite you and your family to capture the memories while picking out your tree during our public hours. If you’re celebrating a special occasion like an engagement, please let us know in advance – we’d love to help make it extra special!
Please note: Visiting our farm during public seasonal hours with the intent to take photographs only, is not considered personal photography and therefore prohibited.
For those interested in professional photo shoots, we offer field reservations on the farm for an hourly rate, available year-round. Please note that our tree-selling season (Nov 18th–Dec 16th) is blocked out for photo shoots. For full details and pricing, please visit our website.
Important: Taking professional photographs utilizing any part of our property without prior permission is strictly prohibited and will be considered trespassing.
We honor all the brave men and women who have served or are actively serving our country to protect the freedoms we hold dear. Thank you, Veterans! Your sacrifices are beyond measure, and we are forever grateful.
This year marks Runyan’s first year participating in the Trees for Troops program. The program provides farm-grown Christmas trees to military families and troops at more than 65 military bases across the U.S. and overseas. Since 2005, the Trees for Troops program has delivered over 277,001 Christmas trees to those who serve our country, spreading holiday cheer to military families far and wide.
We invite you to support Trees for Troops and help bring some holiday spirit to those who have sacrificed so much for us. You can make a difference by donating online or in person during our season.
